Vue Entertainment formed in May 2003 after SBC International Cinemas acquired 36 cinemas from Warner Village. Since May 2003, Vue’s circuit has expanded to encompass 607 screens over 62 cinemas and 134,413 seats. Vue now attracts over 32 million customers every year.

Vue boasts state-of-the-art multiplexes, with the highest quality infrastructure in the market. 90% of its cinemas have modern stadium seating and this figure is set to increase over the coming year. All of the cinemas are fully equipped with the most up-to-date projection and audiovisual technologies. The flagship cinema is in London’s West End and has hosted royal premieres for over 60 years.

Vue continues with its commitment to build and develop the most distinct, modern multiplex cinemas in the UK and will be opening an estimated 10 sites in the next 2-3 years. Vue is focused on being the dominant exhibitor in the business. Aside from upgrading and increasing infrastructure, Vue has concentrated on building an entirely new culture within the industry. In 2005 Vue won the prestigious award for 'International Exhibitor of the Year' at Cinema Expo. During 2006 the company’s Board and Bank of Scotland completed a successful management buyout. In the same year Tim Richards was also bestowed with the highly acclaimed Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year award.
