Chris Tilly interviews Robin Williams who voices two of the characters in Happy Feet, the story of a young, tapdancing penguin who must go on a perilous journey to prove his worth to his fellow penguins and to himself.

Jack Black and Kyle Glass use the film Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny to answer the question of how they met to form their band, Tenacious D. Sort of. Nothing is simple with this pair, as Chris Tilly finds out when he interviews Black and Glass during their recent visit to London.

Saw III is the third film in the horror franchise that began on a shoestring and ended up a box office phenomenon. Working down to the wire, the producers didn’t have a review print for critics to see before the film opens on October 27 so Chris went straight to the source. He talked to the film’s star, Tobin Bell, in London for our exclusive podcast interview.

Director Oliver Stone looks at the attacks of 9/11 from the perspective of two Port Authority police officers (played by Nicholas Cage and Michael Pena) who survived 12 hours trapped under the rubble. Chris joins Steven to discuss his impressions of the film and he plays selections from an interview he had with one of the men on whose experience World Trade Center is based.

Chris and Steven discuss the latest film from the writing partnership of Will Ferrell, who stars, and Adam McKay, director. It’s a fun film that lives up to the expectations built up by the pair’s previous effort, Anchorman. The episode features an insight into the unusual working methods on set; and an hilarious clip from the scene-stealing Sacha Baron Cohen.

In this episode Steven and Chris discuss Harsh Times. The film is directed by David Ayer who is best known as the creator of “Training Day” and the writer of “The Fast and the Furious”. Chris also finds out from Christian Bale what attracted him to the film. In the next episode Steven and Chris talk about Talladega Nights.

Steven and Chris discuss Miami Vice. Director Michael Mann was executive producer of the original TV series. His re-exploration of sultry Miami and the dynamic between Crockett and Tubbs is darker and more violent than the TV series, leaving no room for the breezy shoes- without-socks look everyone remembers from 1984-89.
