Full film details

It’s the last day of the school year, but meek and mild English teacher Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) has nothing to celebrate and will be lucky if he survives to see another vacation.

Stressed out by senior pranks, budget cuts and an incompetent admin team, things go from bad to worse when he inadvertently gets a fellow teacher sacked.

Widely feared by students, teachers and anyone who crosses his path, Ron Strickland (Ice Cube) isn’t going to take his sudden dismissal lying down. He orders Campbell to settle the score after school with a good old-fashioned fist fight, and before long the event is trending on social media.

First there was Ali vs Frazier. Then we had Biggie vs Tupac, and more recently Batman vs Superman, but now it’s time for the battle to end all battles as the crowds gather to watch Strickland vs Campbell!

Fist Fight is an outrageous comedy, loosely based on the 1987 teen comedy Three O’ Clock High and featuring a stellar comic cast.

Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses 2) plays shrinking violet Andy Campbell, whilst Titan of rap Ice Cube picks up the role of the terrifying Ron Strickland. The film also features stellar support from Christina Hendricks (Drive, Bad Santa 2) and Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street, Bridesmaids).
