Full film details

The crew of an underwater observation programme are set to experience far more than they ever could have imagined. Despite being thought to have been extinct for more than two million years, a ginormous 75-foot shark – known as the Megaldon – attacks their submarine, leaving them trapped at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

With air and time for survival running out, the man in charge of the expedition, Dr. Minway Zhang (Winston Chao), must go against his daughter’s wishes and recruit the one man who could save the entire crew – deep sea rescue diver, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham).

In a shocking turn of events, it’s revealed that Taylor has already come face-to-face with the same terrifying creature years before. Teaming up with Zhang’s daughter, Suyin (Bingbing Li), he must once again face the most terrifying monster he has ever encountered and risk his life for the sake of others.

Based on the best-selling novel by Steve Alten, this gripping science-fiction horror is directed by Jon Turteltaub and written by Dean Gerogaris. Meg boasts a talented cast including Jason Statham (Fast & Furious 8), Rainn Wilson (The Office: US), and Ruby Rose (xXx: Return of Xander Cage).
