Full film details

When it comes to motherhood, everyone wants to do a perfect job. Amy Mitchell (Mila Kunis) comes about as close to perfection as you can get. With a happy marriage, an ambitious career and intelligent children, from the outside her life looks flawless.

However, maintaining a composed appearance is just another one of Amy’s prime skills. Underneath the impeccable façade is an overburdened, stressed and burnt-out woman who is in desperate need of a break from her endless list of responsibilities.

But what kind of mother would she be if she admitted to that?

Amy soldiers on as she always does, and continues navigating workplace demands and extra-curricular activities, inching ever towards her breaking point. When two neighbouring queen-bee mothers (Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith) try to assert their superiority, it sends Amy over the edge.

Things take a turn for the better when she discovers she’s not alone in suffering a mum-meltdown: two other overworked mothers (Kristin Bell and Kathryn Hahn) are also teetering on the brink of exhaustion.

The three team up and indulge themselves by doing unthinkable – they let their perfectly styled hair down and decide to break free from their demanding lives and enjoy themselves for once.

After all, mums deserve to have a bit of fun, too.

The latest from the duo who brought you The Hangover franchise, Scott Moore and Jon Lucas co-direct this comedy, which stars Kunis (Ted), Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Hahn (Parks and Recreation) as the three mums gone wild!
