Better Watch Out
A teenage babysitter gets more than she bargained for when a routine job in the suburbs turns nasty.
17-year old Ashley (Olivia DeJonge) can think of a million other things she’d rather do than babysit 12-year-old Luke (Levi Miller) over the Christmas holidays. However, it’s paid work and she knows the family well – what could possibly go wrong?
While enjoying pizza and a throwaway cheesy horror movie, Luke’s best friend Garret (Ed Oxenbould) arrives to join in the fun, and it soon becomes obvious the two adolescent boys have something of a crush on Ashely. However, when they catch a glimpse of someone sneaking around in the garden, their little party soon turns sour.
First, a brick crashes through an upstairs window, emblazoned with ‘’U leave u die’’, and then Garret is taken down with a shot gun as he tries to make a run for it outside. Absolutely petrified, the remaining pair hole themselves up in the loft in a bid to stay out of harm.
But, the intruder is getting closer and closer, and this is where things really start to heat up…
Better Watch Out is a Christmas horror-comedy that’s packed with originality, and features some fantastic performances from its young cast of up and coming stars. Olivia DeJonge is no stranger to horror, having appeared in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Visit (2015) and The Sisterhood of Night (2014).
Ed Oxenbould (Wildlife, Paper Planes), Levi Miller (A Wrinkle in Time, Supergirl) and Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things, Power Rangers) also star in the picture, which is set to become a festive favourite for fans of horror.
