Full film details

Fun loving 27-year-old Brittany Forgler (Jillian Bell) loves nothing more than a party, but her binge-drinking habits have led her down an unhealthy lifestyle of late nights, little sleep, and struggling to stay alert. Deciding to combat her declining state, she heads out to find an Adderall prescription – a cheap fix.

However, things with the doctor (Patch Darragh) aren’t as straightforward as she’d planned. Instead of prescription drugs, she walks away from her appointment with a frank assessment of her health – that she’s needs to change up her lifestyle.

Getting with the programme, the overweight New Yorker finds that running looks to be the cheapest option for getting in shape, while she looks to improve her life and career prospects.

The uphill fitness and lifestyle battle isn’t a walk in the park for Brittany, though, as she stumbles and staggers through hurdles thrown her way. But each setback improves her resilience, strength and character, as she gains a new perspective on life, and sets herself a challenge once unimaginable – the New York City marathon.

Making his feature debut, Paul Downs Colaizzo directs Jillian Bell (Rough Night, Office Christmas Party, 22 Jump Street), Jennifer Dundas (The Post, Puccini for Beginners, Changing Lanes) and Patch Darragh (The Loudest Voice, Cam, The Depths) in this fun, dramatic comedy.
