Full film details

The New World is meant to be a solution for humanity, a chance to repair, grow, and thrive. But after a viral germ spreads across the planet, this dream is shattered.

The disease devastates the population, killing all the women and severely impacting the number of men. It leaves behind Noise – a strange phenomenon that allows all survivors to hear, see, and experience each other’s thoughts.

Nothing is private. Everything is shared. Nobody is ever truly alone.

Many are driven into madness, unable to cope with the onslaught of information. One day, though, a young man, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland), finds a rare patch of silence where Noise doesn’t seem to exist.

It turns out the cause is Viola Eade (Daisy Ridley), who is perhaps the last woman left in the New World. Together, Todd and Viola set out to try and learn the truth about what has happened to their planet, forced to confront the dangers and evils that emerge along their journey.

Based on Patrick Ness’ acclaimed sci-fi novel, “The Knife of Never Letting Go”, Chaos Walking is directed by Doug Liman (American Made). It features a cast brimming with talent, including Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi), Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times at the El Royale) and David Oyelowo (Gringo).
