Ideal Home

Ideal Home
Erasmus (Steve Coogan) and Paul (Paul Rudd) are pretty much like any other married couple – they bicker, and argue, and throw elaborate dinner parties at their giant mansion… However, when Erasmus’ 10-year-old grandson suddenly shows up at their door with nowhere else to go, their life of leisure is thrown into chaos as they’re suddenly required to become fathers.
Erasmus and Paul are quite settled in their extravagant lifestyle. A bestselling author and TV personality, Erasmus is constantly throwing fancy dinner parties and indulging in luxurious hobbies, while the cynical yet supportive Paul watches on.
But everything changes when a Bill (Jack Gore), a 10-year-old boy suddenly shows up at the door of their giant mansion, claiming to be Erasmus’ grandson.
And with Bill’s dad in prison, the two have no choice but to take him in.
From the bright lights of Hollywood into the foreign territory of playgrounds, amusement parks, and arcades, the couple try to figure out how to maintain their celebrity lifestyle while taking on a new role: co-dads.
As they blunder their way through the world of parenthood, they’re faced with hilarious and awkward stumbling blocks at every turn. But soon they begin to find their footing and start to become a family in an entirely new way.
However, when Bill’s dad announces he might be able to secure early release, it throws everything into question all over again. Erasmus and Paul might just get their old life back – but they’re not so sure if they want it anymore…
Directed by Andrew Fleming (Younger), Ideal Home is a hilarious comedy featuring the combined antics of Paul Rudd (Fun Mum Dinner, I Love You, Man) and Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge, Mindhorn) as the two unprepared dads, and Jack Gore (Billions) as their unexpected new son. Also featuring Alison Pill (American Horror Story) and Jake McDorman (Ladybird).
