In the 1970s, a group of explorers visit a remote and beautiful island. Little did they know, the island is home to more than ordinary wildlife… Captain James Conrad (Tom Hiddleston), an SAS officer turned global explorer, is hired by the government to help chart a mysterious island. Located within the Pacific Ocean, this remote destination is enchantingly beautiful, making Captain Conrad and his team jump at the opportunity. Lieutenant Colonel Packard (Samuel L. Jackson) is hired to help the group reach the island, with Bill Randa (John Goodman) serving the in the government’s interest during the mission. Alongside these men is Weaver (Brie Larson), a peace activist and photojournalist, brought along to document the findings.

Once on the island, the team quickly come across a tribe living there, including an American (John C. Reilly), who teaches the explorers about the island… and its many mysteries. Among its habitants is Kong, described as a “king” and “God”, who is feared and beloved by all who reside there. But Kong isn’t the only threat to the explorers…
