Full film details

Mia Carter and Mel Paige are living their best lives together. Best friends for years, they’re also business partners and run their own beauty and cosmetics shop together. However, not everything is rosy. They’re in mounds of debt, owing almost half a million dollars.

Things begin to look up, though, when prominent industry titan Claire Luna (Salma Hayek) steps in and offers to invest $1.7m into the company. The once-in-a-lifetime offer divides the friends, but it’s ultimately too tempting to pass up and they begin their new journey with the backing of this cosmetics giant.

But the devious Claire has uglier motives than Mia and Mel anticipated, as they begin to notice that she’s stealing their money-making ideas and passing them off through her other brand as her own.

Determined not to lose their business and their life’s work without a fight, the two women must learn what it really means to act like a boss.

Tiffany Haddish (The Kitchen, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Night School), Rose Byrne (Instant Family, Bad Neighbours 2, Bridesmaids) and Academy Award nominee Salma Hayek (The Hummingbird Project, How to be a Latin Lover, The Hitman’s Bodyguard) star in this hilarious comedy directed by Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl, Youth in Revolt).
