Full film details

After a messy break-up with his girlfriend, musician Dave (Alexander England) reluctantly moves in with his sister and her son, Felix (Diesel La Torraca), at least until he finds his feet again.

Dropping Felix off at kindergarten one day, Dave is mesmerised by his beautiful teacher, Miss Caroline (Lupita Nyong’o). Eager to impress and get to know her, he jumps at the chance to join her on the upcoming field trip to Pleasant Valley farm when another parent drops out.

On the day of the trip, Dave is bitterly disappointed to notice Miss Caroline is engaged. To make matters worse, they’ll be sharing the farm with irritating children’s TV presenter Teddy McGiggle (Josh Gad). But it soon becomes clear this is the least of their problems when Miss Caroline stumbles upon a gory image.

Confronted with a gruesome zombie feasting on a sheep, the teacher and Dave soon learn that a tribe of the undead recently escaped a nearby testing facility and has taken over the farm. Terrified by the haunting scene, Miss Caroline leads her class to makeshift safety in the abandoned gift shop.

But nothing is ever so simple. Seeking shelter in the shop, they discover that the foul-mouthed Teddy has already made himself comfortable there too, and he proves to be more of a handful than either could have suspected. Faced with the nightmarish reality of the situation, Miss Caroline and Dave must do all they can to ensure the kids have fun as they guide them through the field trip in one piece.

This zombie comedy is brought to us by Abe Forsythe (Down Under) and stars Lupita Nyong’o (Us, Black Panther, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens), Josh Gad (Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Murder on the Orient Express) and Alexander England (Alien: Covenant, Gods of Egypt, Wild Boys).
