Full film details

Molly Moon (Raffey Cassidy) is a normal girl who lives a difficult life. Raised in an orphanage, she dreams of doing extraordinary things – travelling, going on adventures and maybe even finding her parents one day.

The reality is far bleaker.

The orphanage is run by Miss Adderstone (Lesley Manville), who treats Molly more like a slave than a child. With only her friend Rocky (Jadon Carnelly-Morris) and Petula the pug to keep her spirits up, Molly’s dreams seem impossible.

However, on a stroke of luck, Molly discovers “The Incredible Book of Hypnotism” and finds that she has a special gift.

Now that she can hypnotise people, Molly hopes that life might begin to improve. But things take a turn for the worst when Rocky is adopted and Molly is left alone.

Molly decides to use her new skill to break out of the orphanage and finally take control of her life. She and Petula go to London on a mission to find Rocky and restore their unconventional little family.
She uses her powers to become rich and famous, but she begins to get carried away by the fame and glory.

And with an evil man called Nockman (Dominic Monaghan) hot on her heels, determined to steal the book from her and use it for his own treacherous plans, Molly’s perfect new world begins to crumble.

Will she be able to remember her true purpose and find her best friend before it’s too late?

Directed by Christopher N Rowley (Bonneville), this hilarious and heart-warming family film is based on the bestselling book by Georgia Byng.
