Full film details

For 364 days each year, mums are busy: cooking dinner, cleaning bedrooms, making school runs, drying tears, coming to the rescue – the list is never-ending.

Mother’s Day is meant to be the one time where the superwomen of the world can sit back and revel in some well-deserved appreciation.

But no mum ever truly gets a day off! So what does Mother’s Day really look like for the hardworking women who do it all?

Featuring a start-studded cast, Mother’s Day tells the story of different mums (and dads) who do everything they can for their kids, as their stories overlap, leading to one special day.

They say that families come in all shapes and sizes…

Single mother Sandy (Jennifer Aniston) is trying to keep control of her two young sons while attempting to find a job. Her ex-husband, meanwhile, is living the high life with his new young wife.

Jesse (Kate Hudson) hasn’t seen her mother in ages – and for good reason. So she’s a little bit surprised when she suddenly shows up at her front door.

Bradley (Jason Sudeikis) is a single parent, struggling to get a grip on how to coach his daughters through the dreaded teenage years.

Kristin (Britt Robertson) has never met her mum, and Miranda (Julia Roberts) never found time to be one…

Garry Marshall, who also directed the ensemble-hit Valentine’s Day, helms this heart-warming comedy, which also features performances by Jack Whitehall (Bad Education), Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) and Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars).
