The adolescence of one of the world’s most notorious serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer, is unexpected, horrifying, and compelling. Full film details

Jeff (Ross Lynch) is a lonely, miserable teenager. He lives in a troubled home, as his father has moved into a motel, and his mother seems to be going off the rails. School is no better: he is taunted by bullies, and apathetic about his studies.

Things reach boiling point, when Dahmer lashes out at school by faking a ‘fit’. This catches the attention of a groups of his peers, who think he could be the source of the rebellion they seek, by encouraging him to act outrageously in school.

Little does anyone know that Jeff has another secret. He’s obsessed with bones and the way animals are made. His collection of preserved animals – which he has killed and stored in jars – reveals a side to him for which he will become notorious.

My Friend Dahmer, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Derf (who went to school with Dahmer), shows a year of Jeffrey Dahmer’s life, before he become one of the world’s most notorious serial killers. Starring Ross Lynch as Dahmer, who is unrecognisable from his previous roles in children’s television and film, alongside Alex Wolff (Coming Through the Rye) and Anne Heche (The Last Word).
