Full film details

Since becoming aware of their mutations, five young mutants have struggled with their uncontrollable powers, all hurting people along the way. They are relieved to be invited to a psychiatric hospital with the hope of mastering their power in a stable environment

But when Illyana (Anya Taylor-Joy), Rahne (Maisie Williams), Sam (Charlie Heaton), Danielle (Blu Hunt) and Roberto (Henry Zaga) spend more time in their new home and undergo painful tests with Dr Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga), they realise things aren’t as they seem – what they thought was a safe place to get better is, in fact, a prison.

Trapped, the mutants must learn to control their abilities to free themselves from the torturous facility, which takes their greatest fears and forces them to live through them. But the young group must contend with more than just their own horrifying demons, as they battle to escape their past sins and make it out alive…

Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Blu Hunt (Another Life), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Alice Braga (Elysium), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) and Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why) star in The New Mutants. Based on the X-Men comic of the same name, The New Mutants is far from the X-Men we’re used to. This is the first film in the franchise to delve deep into horror territory, and one that’ll keep you on edge throughout. The film is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) who also co-wrote the script with Knate Lee (Kidnap).
