Everyone knows about Ash and Pikachu’s unbreakable bond and legendary adventures. But, where did it all begin? Pokémon: I Choose You steps back in time to their very first meeting before leading on to their first epic adventure.

As they search for the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, they meet some faces familiar to the franchise as well as a whole host of new characters, including Trainers Verity and Sorrel and a Mythical Pokémon named Mashadow.

Pokémon: I Choose You is the 20th movie in the phenomenal Japanese franchise, which was launched 21 years ago in 1996. The film will delight fans old and new, with its introduction of brand new pocket monsters alongside classic characters which fans of hit video game Pokémon Go will be familiar with.

Director Kunihiko Yuyama has played a big part in the Pokémon series since the beginning, and returns to direct this all new feature.
