Full film details

Princess Emmy (Ruby Barnhill) really does live the life. Enjoying her massive castle, the young girl lives without a care in the world – spending time with her family and roaming the huge grounds.

But Emmy also has a very special gift that allows her to talk to horses, which comes in super handy since the majestic four-legged beauties are her best friends.

Things are about to get a little more complicated, though, when Emmy’s cousin, Princess Gizana (Bella Ramsey), comes to visit. The scheming fellow royal is jealous of Emmy and will stop at nothing to prove she is the truest princess.

Challenging Emmy at every opportunity, Gizana’s desperate attempt to get one over her cousin ends in tears, as the young Princess Emmy loses what she holds most dear: her horses.

With everything at stake, Emmy must undergo the ultimate test of character and overcome the challenge of proving she is the rightful princess if she’s to be reunited with her best friends.

Ruby Barnhill (The BFG, Mary and the Witch’s Flower, 4 O’Clock Club), Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones, Hilda, The Worst Witch), and John Hannah (Overboard, Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Mummy) lend their voices to this magical animation. Based on the best-selling children’s book series Princess Emmy and Her Horses, this family feature explores the power of friendship and courage in the face of difficulty.
