Kyle is the new kid at school who longs for a better social life.
Forced to leave his old school by his parents who decided to relocate, Kyle Moore (Ross Lynch), has to start afresh at a brand new high school.
Daunted by the prospect of making new friends and trying to fit in, Kyle hasn’t made the best first impression. In fact, Kyle quickly becomes one of the unpopular kids, leaving him fed up and friendless.
During another miserable day at school, Kyle stumbles upon a rather unusual phone app that he’s never seen before. After playing around with the app, he soon discovers that anything he posts on social media starts to become true.
Kyle has the chance to make his wildest dreams a reality, and become the most popular person at his new high school. He even manages to entice the two most beautiful girls to his side: Dani (Olivia Holt) and Charlotte (Courtney Eaton), who compete for his affections.
Kyle should be happy now that he has everything he’s ever wanted. But being popular in high school isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Can he really be happy knowing that his new-found popularity is based on a false version of himself?
