Full film details

Every now and then, across the country, a horrific headline crops up and shakes the local community to the core.

Mass murder. Brutal homicide. Violent bloodbath.

Residents become distressed and disturbed, questioning how such a terrible thing could happen in their peaceful neighbourhood. But over time the shock fades, and daily life returns to normal.

Eventually, another appalling crime is committed elsewhere, and triggers the same sense of horror for a different group of people. It seems the world has become a dangerous place, where seemingly ordinary citizens suddenly do terrible things – and nobody can understand why.

But the question is not what is causing them to commit these crimes, but who?

A group of college students in Wisconsin are about to find out.

After discovering a mysterious item etched in strange writing, they learn about The Bye Bye Man – a demonic being who slips into people’s minds and forces them to do gruesome things.

But the more they learn about him, the stronger he becomes. And as their fear grows, so does his power…

Academy Award Nominee Stacy Title (Down on the Waterfront) directs this horror-thriller, which stars Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth), Douglas Smith (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Faye Dunaway (Chinatown) and Lucien Laviscount (Honeytrap).
