Full film details

Many years ago, long before the world as we know it, the ancient, all-powerful Celestials created the Eternals. An immortal race, the group, including leader Ajak (Salma Hayek), Thena (Angelina Jolie), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Gilgamesh (Dong-Seok Ma), Druig (Barry Keoghan) and Sersi (Gemma Chan) have roamed the earth for millennia, tasked with protecting humanity against the dangers of the universe.

But just as the Eternals were created by the Celestials, so were their tyrannical counterparts, the destructive Deviants, intent on wreaking havoc and evil. Over the last 7,000 years, the two warring races have shaped history and moulded civilisations, and the battling isn’t over.

Directed by Chloé Zhao (The Rider), Eternals is inspired by Marvel Comics’ heroic group of characters of the same name. This latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Tourist, Salt), Academy Award nominee Salma Hayek (Like a Boss, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Frida) and Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel, Crazy Rich Asians, Humans).

Eternals also sees Game of Thrones stars Richard Madden (1917, Bodyguard, The Take) and Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones, Brimstone, Pompeii) share a screen for the first time since 2013.
