After spending their daughter's college fund, a couple try to earn fast cash through another method - by opening an illegal casino in their basement.
Scott and his wife (Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler) aren’t exactly responsible parents. In fact, they’ve completely destroyed their poor daughter’s college fund.
But not to worry – they’ve got a plan to recoup it all. It’s a plan that involves illegal activities in the couple’s basement, but a plan nonetheless.
Teaming up with their neighbours, Scott and his wife agree to start up an underground casino beneath their house, in order to earn enough money to fund their daughter’s educational ambitions.
Starring the legendary comedic actor Will Ferrell (Zoolander No. 2) and Amy Poehler (Monsters vs. Aliens), The House also features the talents of Ryan Simpkins (Arcadia) and Andy Buckley (Jurassic World).
Director Andrew J. Cohen may not have many have many full-length feature films to his name, but his work as a writer on recent comedies Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising means that Cohen is no stranger to the genre.
