Full film details

Jay (Ghetts) has ambitions of leading his own crime ring, but is held back by his allegiance to a dangerous crime boss named Beverly (Sharon Duncan-Brewster). Despite the risks that come with setting up a rival organisation, Jay embarks on his new venture with the help of crew member Mustafa (Adam Deacon).

Managing to keep his new venture a secret from Beverly, the ring is a success, making Jay feel as though all of his plans are coming to fruition. That is, until a robbery goes wrong and Beverly finds out that Jay is, in fact, a traitor.

Jay and other members of the crew are sent to Jamaica, where things go from bad to worse. With each of their lives on the line, the crew members don’t realise that there are more people monitoring their movements than just Beverly: an undercover officer (Dylan Duffus) has managed to infiltrate the crew.

Starring some of the hottest grime acts working today, The Intent 2: The Come Up is an ambitious prequel to 2016’s breakout hit The Intent. Starring grime artist Ghetts, alongside Adam Deacon (Kidulthood), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Rogue One), and Dylan Duffus (Line of Duty), The Intent 2 is even more ambitious than its predecessor, as Vertigo Releasing have teamed with Island Records for a brand-new film and music venture.
