Full film details

Daniel Murphy (Michiel Huisman) is flying home from New York for his mother’s funeral when the elderly stranger in the seat next to him strikes up what appears to be a simple conversation. Unbeknownst to him as he gets off the plane a few hours later, it’s an interaction that might change his life.

Daniel arrives home to his now-orphaned, autistic younger brother Louis (Samuel Bottomley). With responsibility on his shoulders, Daniel tries to comfort his sibling, but struggles to connect now it’s just the two of them.

However, things grow even more complicated when Daniel discovers that the gentleman next to him on his flight has suddenly died – and he was named next of kin. Now, Daniel’s responsible for transporting his body to Northern Ireland, over 300 miles away.

Persuaded to embark on the journey by his brother, the pair are joined by quirky mortician Mary (Niamh Algar), who wheels out a biodegradable coffin to strap to the roof.

But as the trio meander north, events unfold that put them square in the headlights of Irish police. Faced with a difficult decision, they must find strength in each other if they’re to do the right thing and complete their goal.

Directed by Aoife Crehan, this dramatic Irish comedy stars Niamh Algar (Pure, The Bisexual, The Drummer and the Keeper), Michiel Huisman (The Red Sea Diving Resort, The Age of Adeline, Game of Thrones) and Samuel Bottomley (Ackley Bridge, Ghost Stories).
