When Robert Shafran started college in 1980, he expected to make a few friends, but instead left with two brothers. Their story shook the world.

On his first day of a new school, much to his surprise, Robert already had students greeting him like an old friend, except for one odd hitch: everyone was calling him Eddy.

“His eyes are my eyes; my eyes are his eyes. It’s true, we’re brothers.”

A stirring turn of events began to unravel as the boys discovered a third sibling and the identical trio of brothers were reunited, and finally realise the enormity of their discovery.

The new-found triplets lived the high life as superstars, making television appearances and featuring on the front of every major publication worldwide. But there’s a dark truth in their past and twisted psychological manipulation behind their separation that had unknowingly burdened the boys forever.

Three Identical Strangers is a dramatic, emotional biographical documentary that brings together those who were there as the three brothers, Eddy Galland, Robert Shafran, and David Kellman discovered each other and uncovered the heart wrenching mystery of their separation. This extraordinary true story is directed by Bafta nominated Tim Wardle (One Killer Punch).
