Edgar Wright season is coming to Vue

It’s for the greater good

Cornettos and quick cuts? That can only mean one thing: Edgar Wright season is officially coming to Vue (actual Cornettos not included). From Shaun of the Dead to Last Night in Soho, here’s all of the iconic director’s titles that will be hitting the big screen over the next couple of months.

SHAUN OF THE DEAD - AT VUE 12 SEPTEMBER 

You’ve got red on you. And so does Shaun (Simon Pegg), a salesman whose life has lost all direction. However, his uneventful existence takes a sudden turn when he and his best friend Ed (Nick Frost) find themselves battling through an entire community of zombies. But you knew all this already.

HOT FUZZ - AT VUE 19 SEPTEMBER 

Everyone and their mums is packin’ round ‘ere. When exceptional London copper Sgt. Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is transferred to a seemingly sleepy West Country village, he and fellow “policeman officer” Danny (Nick Frost) soon uncover a string of gruesome murders.

THE WORLD’S END - AT VUE 26 SEPTEMBER 

They’re going to see this through to the bitter end – or the lager end. In the final film of the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, five friends return to their old home town to finish an epic pub crawl left incomplete 20 years ago. But their progress is somewhat interrupted by a full-blown robot-alien invasion. 

Perfect for: Comedy and sci-fi lovers, plus anyone who kind of hates their old home town.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD - AT VUE 10 OCTOBER

You earned the power of self-respect! That’s what Scott (Michael Cera) needs to do if he’s going to date the coolest girl around, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Oh yeah, and he also needs to defeat all of her seven evil exes in a series of creatively animated fights.

BABY DRIVER - AT VUE 17 OCTOBER 

He’s a looney, just like his tunes. But listening to his killer tracks is what makes Baby (Ansel Elgort) the best getaway driver around. After meeting the girl of his dreams (Lily James), he now wants to leave his life of crime behind. That’s easier said than done, though… 

Perfect for: People with impeccable music taste, and those who appreciate a good car chase – or 12.

Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie) is an aspiring fashion designer who dreams of being transported back to 1960s London.
