Everyone’s a suspect in Kenneth Branagh’s star-studded adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel. Can you guess who the killer is?

Being trapped on a train with the likes of Johnny Depp, Judi Dench and Daisy Ridley might seem like an extremely pleasant dream to a lot of people, but the joy of that experience would probably dissipate if you thought one of them was about to murder you. In Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, any one of his A-list cast members could be playing the killer.

Branagh himself plays the legendary Belgian detective, who has an equally legendary moustache. You wouldn’t expect the one trying to solve the case to be the murderer, but you should never rule out anyone with such villainous-looking facial hair.

Daisy Ridley is Mary Debenham – The Governess

Could Star Wars’ Rey of light now be playing a murderous governess? Usually a calm and collected character, Mary becomes suspiciously flustered when questioned by Poirot. She also looks incredibly sly in that coat.

Penélope Cruz is Pilar Estravados – The Missionary

Originally named Greta Ohlsson in the novel, Pilar is an unassuming Spanish missionary and nurse, which sounds like a perfect cover for a raging psychopath.

The extremely polite Mr. Masterman is Rachett’s valet, which means he has a lovely pair of white gloves knocking about somewhere and most likely has access to the cutlery.
