Full film details

The Starship Avalon is packed with over 5,200 human passengers, all asleep in their hibernation pods supposedly for the entirety of the 120-year voyage to life on a new planet. When two of the pods burst open suddenly, the journey is cut short for Jim (Chris Pratt) and Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) – by 90 years.

With nobody but the robot staff aboard the craft to converse with, it doesn’t take long for the spark to turn into a flame as the pair fall for one another. However, something doesn’t quite stack up.

A series of events leaves them certain they were woken up early for a reason, and that reason begins to become more sinister as time goes on and the craft around them begins to malfunction.

Soon, the truth will be revealed and the journey will be over…

After almost a decade spent in development, Passengers finally gets the treatment it deserves with a sterling director, cast and crew.

Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) directs his A-List cast, which is fronted by the Academy Award winning Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men: Apocalypse) and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).

The brilliant Andy Garcia (The Godfather: Part III) and Laurence Fishburne (John Wick: Chapter 2) provide their well-seasoned acting chops to the small but perfectly formed supporting cast.
