Not that we need to remind you, but 2025 is going to be another jam-packed year on the big screen. In fact, there are so many huge titles coming your way that arranging your calendar might actually be a bit overwhelming. That’s why we’ve put together this helpful little round-up, so you and the family can start getting excited and set those all-important ticket reminders.
Here’s just a taste of what’s coming to Vue next year.
GET A LOAD OF THESE BLOCKBUSTERS!
Still not emotionally recovered from Wicked? Well, you better do something about that because the highly anticipated second part, Wicked: For Good, is heading your way faster than a flying monkey.
There’s also Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which will see Tom Cruise put his body on the line for our entertainment one last time.
And for the zombie apocalypse enthusiasts out there, we’re sure you’ll be dead excited about 28 Years Later.
NEW-LOOK SUPERHEROES INCOMING
The Marvel Cinematic Universe will get a new lease of life when The Fantastic Four: First Steps stretches onto the big screen, along with Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World (give us Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk immediately).
And the DC Cinematic Universe will also be getting a major vibe revamp with James Gunn’s Superman, re-addressing that age old question of whether a bloke from another planet can be mistaken for a bird or a plane.
STUFF FOR THE FAMILY
You can pretend all these animations and whimsical family adventures are for the kids, but we know you’ll love them just as much.
Let’s see. There’s A Minecraft Movie, a live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon(!) Pixar’s Elio, plus a new take on Disney’s Snow White AND Lilo & Stitch, just to name a few.
So yeah, when it comes to keeping the little ones occupied or finding some much-needed downtime for yourself, you won’t be short of options. And don’t forget, there’s always our Mighty Mornings screenings should you require some AM assistance, while our Big Shorts give you the chance to enjoy a quick film/episode or five.
WE’RE NOT DONE YET
2025 will also be the year that Renée Zellweger dons a massive pair of pants and returns for Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
Elsewhere, Robert Pattinson plays a bunch of disposable worker clones in Mickey 17, an exciting new sci-fi drama from Parasite director Bong Joon Ho.
Love a biopic? Then Michael, based on the life of Michael Jackson, will no doubt be on your radar, too.
AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT CAN BE SHOWN ON A BIG SCREEN
Live concert performances. Live sporting events. Live theatre. Who said the big screen was meant solely for films? We thoroughly enjoy immersing you in arena-type environments and intimate little venues, so guess what; we’re going to carry on doing it.
Steve Coogan’s Dr. Strangelove, Macbeth: David Tennant & Cush Jumbo, Billy Elliot The Musical and André Rieu’s 75th Birthday: The Dream Continues are just a few of the theatrical treats coming your way.
CAN'T KEEP UP WITH ALL THE GREAT FILMS AND EVENTS COMING TO VUE IN 2025?
