Located inside the Trinity Square Shopping Complex, Vue Gateshead Trinity Square is just off the A167 and easily accessible from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Follow all signs for the Gateshead Interchange and you'll find Trinity Square located opposite. There's parking available for 750 cars with customers entitled to 4 hours free validated parking. Customers can validate their tickets in the cinema.

By train: Vue Gateshead Trinity Square is located directly opposite the Gateshead Metro station and bus interchange. It's approximately five minutes on the Metro from Central Station in Newcastle.

By bus: Quarylink bus routes run a regular service into the interchange.

Location access

Vue Gateshead Trinity Square is located on the first floor of Trinity Square Gateshead, with access by lift and escalator. The entrance to the venue is adjacent to the Tesco entrance.

There is a free car park (up to four hours) with 750 spaces, including wheelchair spaces for blue badge holders. There is a taxi drop-off point in the car park next to the automatic entrance doors for Tesco. The shopping centre is directly opposite Gateshead Interchange station with excellent transport links by metro and bus.

Trinity Square is a five minute metro journey to Newcastle Central Station and there are over 50 bus routes that can be accessed from Gateshead Interchange.

Venue and screen access

Vue Gateshead Trinity Square has wheelchair access throughout the venue and in all screens. The venue is on the first floor, which you can access by escalator and lift. There are two sets of double doors at the entance of the venue. The right hand set is automatic and the left hand set is push and pull.

Screens one to five are on the first floor, on the same level as the main foyer, while screens six to nine are on a lower level, accessed by stairs or lift from a corridor.

We also have wheelchair spaces at the back of screens one, two, four and five, with access by lift. There's step-free access to the wheelchair spaces and adjoining seats, and accessible toilets in both the foyer, lower level and upstairs.

Purchasing tickets

There are hearing loops at all of the counters, where food, drinks and tickets can be purchased, and pre-purchased tickets can be collected. There is also a lowered counter available. You can also purchase or collect tickets at the automatic ticket machines located in the venue foyer.

Accessible screenings

Vue Gateshead Trinity Square shows subtitled (ST) films every week. Film times are updated each Wednesday morning for the coming Friday. You can book subtitled screenings here.

Some of our screens are equipped with infrared technology to provide hearing assistance. Simply let a member of our staff know when you're purchasing your tickets and they'll organise a headset or neckloop for you. We recommend arriving a little earlier than you normally would so we can get you set up in time for the film.

Autism-friendly screenings

In our autism-friendly screenings, the lights are left on low, the sound is turned down and trailers and adverts aren't played. When you book tickets for an autism-friendly screening, you’ll be asked to choose allocated seats but we do encourage guests to move around during the screening and make a bit of noise.
