By car

Glasgow Fort is located adjacent to Junction 10 off the M8, five miles to the east of Glasgow City Centre (35 miles west of Edinburgh). There's free car parking available for 1,900 cars inside Glasgow Fort Shopping Park.

By public transport

By train: The nearest station is Easterhouse, which is a 40 minute bus ride away (take the simpliCITY 60, simpliCITY 60A, the 310 or the X19). Easterhouse runs services from Glasgow Queen Street every twenty minutes.

By bus: There's a bus stop directly outside the shopping park that runs regular services from Glasgow City Centre, including the 19, 33, 38 and 40 and Stagecoach service X19 (express service from Glasgow city centre).

By spaceship: Currently under construction. Please check back in 2025.

Located just a few miles east of Glasgow City Centre, Vue Glasgow Fort is a state-of-the art eight-screen multiplex venue.

This venue opens approximately 15 minutes before the first film of the day.

Location access

Located on the Glasgow Fort Shopping Park, there's a 1900 space car park directly outside the venue on street level with accessible spaces available for blue badge holders. A drop-off point can be found directly at the front of the venue. You'll find the nearest bus stop located about 500 metres away from the venue entrance.

Venue and screen access

Entrance to the venue is through automatic doors on the ground level – access from there to the venue foyer is via escalator or lift.

The foyer and screens are all on one level leading off the main foyer. There's step-free access to all wheelchair spaces and their adjoining seats, and accessible toilets can be found in the main foyer.

Purchasing tickets

There are hearing loops at all of the counters, where food, drinks and tickets can be purchased, and pre-purchased tickets can be collected. There is also a lowered counter available. You can also purchase or collect tickets at the automatic ticket machines located in the venue foyer.

Accessible screenings

Vue Glasgow Fort shows subtitled (ST) films every week. Film times are updated each Wednesday morning for the coming Friday. You can book subtitled screenings here.

We also offer audio description (AD) on a selection of the films. You can book audio description screenings here. If you'd rather book by phone, give us a call on 0345 308 4620 (local rates apply).

Every screen is also equipped with infrared technology to provide hearing assistance. Simply let a member of our staff know when you're purchasing your tickets and they'll organise a headsets or neckloop for you. We recommend arriving a little earlier than you normally would so we can get you set up in time for the film.

Autism-friendly screenings

In our autism-friendly screenings, the lights are left on low, the sound is turned down and trailers and adverts aren't played. When you book tickets for an autism-friendly screening, you’ll be asked to choose allocated seats but we do encourage guests to move around during the screening and make a bit of noise.

Vue Glasgow Fort hosts an autism-friendly screening at 10am on the last Sunday of every month. You can book autism-friendly screenings here.
