By car

Located in the centre of the city, Vue Lancaster is easily accessible by the A6 and the A683. Parking is available 7am-8pm at Castle Car Park (Please note Lancaster Council lock the gates at 8pm, if your screening ends after 8pm, we recommend parking elsewhere), 24/7 parking is available at Lancaster’s outdoor car park located on Cable Street.

By train: The nearest train station is Lancaster, which is on the line to Manchester and about a 10 minute walk away.

By bus: For those travelling by bus, the main bus station is 500 metres away from the venue, where you can catch the 2, 3 ,4, 40, 41 or 42 to the station. National Express coaches also stop at the station.

Location access

Vue Lancaster is located in the city centre, less than five minutes walk from Lancaster bus station and approximately five to 10 minutes walk from Lancaster train station. Accessible parking for blue badge holders can be found on Church Street.

Venue and screen access

Vue Lancaster has wheelchair access throughout the venue and in all screens. Entrance to the venue is through an automatic set of double doors on the left hand side of the building or through push and pull doors on the right hand side.

Screens one and two are accessible via a ramp, while screens three to six are upstairs, with access by lift.

There's step-free access to the wheelchair spaces and adjoining seats, and accessible toilets downstairs next to the lift and in the upper foyer.

Purchasing tickets

There are hearing loops at all of the counters, where food, drinks and tickets can be purchased, and pre-purchased tickets can be collected. There is also a lowered counter available. You can also purchase or collect tickets at the automatic ticket machines located in the venue foyer.

Accessible screenings

Vue Lancaster shows subtitled (ST) films every week. Film times are updated each Wednesday morning for the coming Friday. You can book subtitled screenings here.

We also offer audio description (AD) on a selection of the films. You can book audio description screenings here. If you'd rather book by phone, give us a call on 0345 308 4620 (local rates apply).

Some of our screens are equipped with infrared technology to provide hearing assistance. Simply let a member of our staff know when you're purchasing your tickets and they'll organise a headset or neck loop for you. We recommend arriving a little earlier than you normally would so we can get you set up in time for the film.

Autism-friendly screenings

In our autism-friendly screenings, the lights are left on low, the sound is turned down and trailers and adverts aren't played. When you book tickets for an autism-friendly screening, you’ll be asked to choose allocated seats but we do encourage guests to move around during the screening and make a bit of noise.
