By car

Located inside the Ocean Plaza shopping centre, Vue Southport is easily accessible by the A565. Once you've arrived in Southport, follow signs for the beach – the venue is located on the pier by the seafront.

There's up to four hours free parking available for Ocean Plaza customers (after four hours, tariffs apply). When leaving any of the outlets, you'll be given a receipt with a barcode on it.

Simply take this receipt to the pay machines outside Vue Southport, scan the barcode and follow the simple on-screen instructions to validate the parking.

By train: Southport station on the line to Hunts Cross, Liverpool and Manchester is 15 minute walk away from the venue.

By bus: Buses to the promenade stop a short distance away from the venue – the closest is outside McDonalds, 200 metres away.

Vue Southport is located on street level inside the Ocean Plaza shopping centre. The venue has a car park with accessible parking for blue badge holders.

There's a drop off point directly outside the front of the venue and the nearest bus stop is outside McDonalds, about 200 metres away.

Venue and screen access

Vue Southport has wheelchair access throughout the venue and in all screens. You can enter the venue through two sets of double doors – one is push and pull and the other is automatic.

All of the screens are on the same floor as the main foyer, down a corridor. There's step-free access to the wheelchair spaces and adjoining seats, and an accessible toilet in the foyer.

Purchasing tickets

There are hearing loops at all of the counters, where food, drinks and tickets can be purchased, and pre-purchased tickets can be collected. There is also a lowered counter available. You can also purchase or collect tickets at the automatic ticket machines located in the venue foyer.

Accessible screenings

Vue Southport shows subtitled (ST) films every week. Film times are updated each Wednesday morning for the coming Friday. You can book subtitled screenings here.

We also offer audio description (AD) on a selection of the films. You can book audio description screenings here. If you'd rather book by phone, give us a call on 0345 308 4620 (local rates apply).

Some of our screens are equipped with infrared technology to provide hearing assistance. Simply let a member of our staff know when you're purchasing your tickets and they'll organise a headset for you. We recommend arriving a little earlier than you normally would so we can get you set up in time for the film.

Autism-friendly screenings

In our autism-friendly screenings, the lights are left on low, the sound is turned down and trailers and adverts aren't played. When you book tickets for an autism-friendly screening, you’ll be asked to choose allocated seats but we do encourage guests to move around during the screening and make a bit of noise.

Vue Southport hosts an autism-friendly screening at 10am on the last Sunday of every month. You can book autism-friendly screenings here. Select All Times or Coming Soon to see the full range of screenings available.
