Check out this fan-built, lifesize model of the Millennium Falcon cockpit!

Han Solo’s pride and joy gets the DIY treatment.

There’s only one thing Han Solo loves more than Chewbacca - not Leia, not his special snow coat, not even his pal Luke: his ship. The fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, the Millennium Falcon.

And with Solo: A Star Wars Story out now, there’s no better time to settle into the cockpit and take a good look around.

To give you the chance to have a noodle around in there, we tracked down the team of super fans that built an amazingly detailed 17 metre replica of the Falcon - and you can check it out in all its 360-degree glory here. While we were there, we suggested a game of Corellian Spike and a hefty wager but had to settle for a chat with Rob Ormondroyd (Owner/Creator) and Luke Daley (Cruiser Production Crew) about how the project came together.

Find out what their Falcon is made of (“pretty much every known substance to man”), what the hardest part was to nail, and which character Luke is named after. Watch the full interview here:
