This is what your fave characters look like in 2020

Makeovers, upgrades, sequels and reboots: you’ll hardly recognise them

Hollywood doesn’t like to sit still. Even though loads of your favourite characters are returning in 2020, they’re coming back in whole new guises. Will you even recognise them? Take a look at who’s had a glow up for 2020.

Harley Quinn

Everyone???s favourite loose cannon is back with a new haircut, new togs and a brand new attitude to Joker (that he???s the worst). A shoo-in for Most Imitated Costume, Halloween 2020

Favourite characters

Sonic the Hedgehog

He started life as a video game character and now he’s settled on his sleek, hi-speed form as the world’s foremost blue hedgehog. WHAT a glow-up.

Favourite characters

A Quiet Place 2

Emily Blunt is still staying hushed in this eagerly awaited sequel but this time, the family’s out in the wider world - and they’re joined by Cillian Murphy

Favourite characters

James Bond

It’s Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 - and since he’s been doing it for 14 years, he has aged quite beautifully. Are those some silvery strands we can spot in his perfectly barbered hair?

Favourite characters

Black Widow

Natasha Romanoff is finally getting her own film, following the Black Widow’s antics between Civil War and Infinity War. Scarlett Johansson is reprising her role as the Widow but as it’s also exploring her past, we’re expecting lots of flashbacks to a younger Romanoff too.

Favourite characters

Wonder Woman 1984

No stranger to having her own films, Wonder Woman is getting another crack of the whip in 2020. We don’t know much about the plot of this ‘80s set film but we do know that Gal Gadot looks amazing in the posters - all solid gold breastplate and don’t mess with me attitude.

Favourite characters

Top Gun: Maverick

We’re expecting a few cosmetic changes to Maverick and Iceman, returning to the big screen for the first time since Top Gun’s release in 1986. Perhaps a wrinkle or two - a glint of wisdom in their eyes? But aviators and flight jackets intact.

Favourite characters

 The King’s Man

Ok, so there’s not much in the way of your existing fave characters in this 1900s-set prequel to Kingsman, but we reckon there will be a few surprises in store. Keep an eye on Aaron Taylor Johnson’s character who is, judging by his name (Lee Unwin), related to Eggsy Unwin. Spot the family resemblance?

The Witches

Roald Dahl’s much loved and feared story of an AGM of witches terrorising a small boy at a seaside resort is being given a makeover this year, with Anne Hathaway taking over as the Grand High Witch (previously an awe-inspiring Anjelica Huston).
