What your ten year old will love most about Despicable Me 3

Our very own ten-year-old reporter Louis Beaufort is counting down the days until Despicable Me 3 opens at Vue on 30 June – here's what he's most looking forward to

1. The clash with Gru and Balthazar Bratt.

For anyone who hasn’t see the trailer or doesn’t know the franchise, Gru is the main character in the first two Despicable Me films. Balthazar is one of the new characters and he seems like he’ll be a baddie.

2. If Gru goes back to a life of crime

From what we see in the trailer, Gru’s brother Dru persuades Gru to do a heist. After the end of the second film, a lot of us would have thought that Gru wanted to leave his life of crime behind. But after seeing this trailer it seems like maybe that’s not the case…

While Gru is experienced as a robber, Dru seems like he just got on board the villainy boat.

3. Getting to know this Dru character better.

This is definitely what I’m looking forward to most. In the trailer, you can see that while Gru is experienced as a robber, Dru seems like he just got on board the villainy boat. For this story to outshine the other two Despicable Me films, I feel that we would need to see Dru go from being a really bad robber to someone who is good at robbing people.

4. If crime really does pay

Dru has a mansion, 40 cars and statues but as you can see in the trailer, he’s a pretty bad robber. So I’m looking forward to finding out how this is possible and how it will play out. It’s good to be bad. Or is it?
