Escape to a world of wonder with loved ones you can’t be with

This December we’re welcoming you back to Vue to enjoy some much needed festive escapism with your household or support bubble, starting with 30 venues from the 11th. But we also want you to be able to enjoy that big screen magic with your other loved ones, too.

BOOK A SHARED SCREENING

Our Shared Screenings of Christmas classics give you and your loved ones the chance to experience your favourite festive films at exactly the same time, from different venues.

It’ll add a special feeling of togetherness for anyone coming along, knowing that there are people watching at the same time in other venues. It also means you can experience Elf, Home Alone and more in all their big screen glory with a loved one who lives across town from you - or even at the opposite end of the country. Here’s how to plan your trip:

Step 1: Check your local Vue is open

Tier restrictions will affect some venues so find your local Vue and check that it’s open here - and get your friend or family member to do the same.

Step 2: See what’s on

You can both check what Shared Screenings are on at your local Vue here

We’ve picked some of the all-time Christmas greats to show at the same time across our open venues, including comedies like Elf and Home Alone, everyone’s fave festive rom-com Love Actually and family treasures like Frozen, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and The Muppet Christmas Carol. Prefer things a bit darker? There’s also Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas - plus Die Hard, for those who like their festivities with added explosions.

Step 3: Select a Shared Screening

Agree the film you want to see (we get it, this bit could take a while) and a screening time that suits you both.

Step 4: Book!

Get ready to cry in sync with your BFF as Emma Thompson realises she’s getting nowt but a Joni Mitchell CD. Know that your niece is currently beaming at the sight of Elsa and Anna on the big screen. Watch Home Alone along with your siblings, just like you did as kids. Even if your loved ones live on the other side of the country, you’ll have a warm and fuzzy feeling of togetherness knowing they’re seeing it on the big screen at exactly the same time as you.

See what’s on with our Shared Screenings.
